Be Safe Be Seen
In September a member of the Garda Siochána visited the junior classes to talk about road safety and the importance of younger children wearing florescent yellow jackets when out and about. The Garda recomended that younger children wear reflective clothing when playing in a public area and also when travelling to and from school. This is particularly important at this time of year when there is such little daylight. He also highlighted the fact that younger children may not be visible to motorists because of their size and need to take extra care in areas that are in close proximity to traffic. Every boy recieved a florescent yellow jacket and we encourage all the children to wear these as advised by the Garda Siochana.
