Cultivating a welcoming, inclusive and caring atmosphere for our diverse population of children.
About Our School
Who we are.
Scoil Phádraig Naofa is a vertical boys school located in Bandon. It has 207 pupils, this includes 4 ASD special classes (one of which is a pre-school class). We have a staff of 20 teachers and 13 SNAs. We also benefit from a Home School Community Liaison Teacher and a School Completion Project Worker and Co- Ordinator. The school is managed by our Board of Management and we are grateful for the support of a very active Parents’ Association.
Principals’ Welcome
My name is Méabh Hennessy and I am the Principal of Scoil Phádraig Noafa. I have had a varied career with experience as a classroom teacher, a special education teacher, a teacher in an ASD special class, a teaching principal and an administrative principal. I also have a Masters in Education with a focus on Positive Behaviour Management. I am very proud of the children in our school and the staff who support them.
I hope your child will be very happy with us here in Scoil Phádraig Noafa. From when the doors open in the morning until the last child leaves in the evening, the building is a hive of activity. We put a lot of time into developing good relationships with the children in our care and I have seen time and time again the difference this makes to the children and their families. There is a lovely atmosphere in our school and I believe this is essential for meaningful learning to take place.
We are located in the town of Bandon and take pride in continuing to develop the great links the school has with the local community. We work to help parents raise responsible citizens who make positive contributions to their town. We are preparing children for life and I think the learning experiences and activities your child will take part in with us will do just that.
I look forward to meeting your child and getting to know them.
Méabh Hennessy,
Principal
