The area at our school gate has been designated a Safe School Zone. To keep the children safe, this zone means cars cannot stop in this zone during school hours. Immediately outside the school gate is reserved for buses and our special needs taxis only.

We have designated a ‘Stop Drop and Go’ Zone above the school. This is where you can pull in, let your children exit the car safely on the path side and walk safely to the school gate. We ask you not to park here, it is for drop and go only.

The introduction of this school zone in September 2021 made a huge difference to the safety of the children at the gate. We ask you to please help us maintain the good practices that are in place so that drop off and collection times are safe and less stressful for all.

A zebra crossing operates just below the school gate. We encourage children to walk, cycle or scoot to school if possible and safe to do so. If the distance from your home is too great, why not try parking away from the school and walk some of the way. This is often quicker than getting caught in traffic on the hill!

All these measures were put in place to make your child’s travel to school safer. Parents, guardians and staff have made a huge effort to make this work and we look forward to its continued success and hopefully seeing more and more children walk to school in the future.
